This temple is a model of the one at tirupathi and is located on the outskirts of Coimbatore city, in beautiful hilly surroundings. Like the Srivari temple in Tirumala-Tirupati in Andhra pradesh, the Srivari Temple,Coimbatore in Tamilnadu is located on a natural hill amidst sylvian surroundings at an elevation of about 1000 ft. above MSL. The majestic looking Gopuram above the sanctum sanctorum and the temple complex in white and grey add to the grandeur of the shrine against the backdrop of the greenish blue Nilgiri Mountains.

Lord Sri Venkateswara Swami is in the main temple. Sri Garudalwar sits facing the Lord. There is a separate temple for Shri Adhi Varahaswami on the northern side of the Hill opposite to the pushkarani. Shri Varadarajaswami temple is on the south eastern corner of the main temple.

In a separate shrine Sannadhis of Lord Anjaneya, Sri Sudarshana Azhwar, Sri Yoga Narasimhar, the four Vaishnavite savants Sri Ramanujar, Nammazhwar, Thirumangai Azhwar and Sri Vedanta Desikar are housed. A Vaigunta Dwaram and Lotus Pushkarani have also been built. People who are unable to go to Tirumala often visit this temple.
