Detailed Info
The Yanthras listed here are meant for warding off evil spirits, goblins, ghosts and other entities. Some of them are Shaiva yantras and are suitable for followers of the Shaiva tradition (worshippers of Shiva) while some are specific to Vaishnavas. Choose anyone of the yantras according to your needs and inclinations:
Shaiva Yantras:
1. Mahishasura Mardini Yantra: This yantra is the most effective yantra against evil spirits and planetary doshas. Once energized and installed (or worn), it does not require special rituals or restrictions to be practiced by the user. 'Mahishasura Mardini' is a name of the Goddess Durga who killed the powerful demon Mahishasura.
2. Aghora Yantra: This yantra will ward off evil spirits and negative influences sent by third parties. Aghora is a form of Lord Shiva. This yantra is said to annihilate enmity and spirits like water puts out a fire.
3. Sathru badha Nivarthaka Yantra: This yantra protects you against spirits sent by tantrics and black practitioners at the instance of your enemies who wish to harm you. This yantra stops the sabdha prapancha, i.e. the syllables of the universe and makes beejaksharas of evil mantras and yantras ineffective.
The Mahishasura Mardini and Aghora yantras are recommended in general for all.
Vaishnava Yantras:
1. Maha Sudarshana Yantra: Sudarshana is the fiery disc of Lord Vishnu with thousand radiating spikes. It represents the weapon with which Maha Vishnu destroys evil forces and protects his devotees.
2. Narasimha Yantra: is a very powerful yantra representing the Narasimha Avatar of Lord Vishnu who destroyed the powerful demon Hiranyakashyapa.
3. Hanumath Yantra: This is yet another extremely powerful Vaishnava yantra representing the Shakti of Lord Hanuman, the hero of the Ramayana who destroyed countless demons. This yantra requires the wearer to maintain discipline and cleanliness in his lifestyle and dwelling place. Only those who can maintain such a spiritual discipline should wear the Hanuman yantra.
