Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam for overcoming all problems
The Vishnu sahasranama or the garland of 1000 names of Lord Vishnu is one of the most sacred and popular stotras chanted by devotees. Revealed by Bhishma on his deathbed in the Mahabharata to the Pandavas, it is believed to confer manifold benefits on those who chant it:
"Those who recite the Vishnusahasranama with shraddha (profound faith) and devotion would acquire happiness, patience, prosperity, courage, memory and fame... This hymn to Lord Vishnu composed by Vyasa must be recited by all those who desire happiness in the world and also the higher goal of life."
The Vishnu Sahasranamam is specially chanted on Wednesdays since Lord Vishnu is the presiding deity for Wednesdays (Mercury).
